It is a great circus act. It is the 1930s, and the crowd sees little like it outside of the tent. They are not inundated with special effects as their grandchildren will be. The flips and high dives are to them like men flying. Mouths gape and men hush for the duration of the show. These two are the trapeze artists, just two in a dozen acrobatic acts. They are amazing, though. For five minutes they own the crowd's gasps and widened eyes. They are not flawless, but they are entertaining and gripping.
